Popular leakster “Ice Universe” revealed that the upcoming flagship Xiaomi 14 Pro will bring significant changes to the display design.
According to the render shared on his Twitter handle, the device will feature a quad-curved display on the front. The Xiaomi 14 Pro is expected to achieve a stunning “full-screen” effect with ultra-narrow bezels that are nearly identical on all sides. It appears that the Xiaomi 14 Pro has the upper hand compared to the rumored design of the iPhone 15 Pro, which will also narrow down the bezels but will retain the dynamic island.
Xiaomi 14 Pro’s Specifications
Xiaomi’s flagship series adopts the latest generation Qualcomm Snapdragon processor every year, so it is natural to expect the Xiaomi 14 Pro to be equipped with the third-generation Snapdragon 8 series, potentially achieving a global debut. DCS has also confirmed through a leak that the device will indeed feature an SM8650 chip, which is Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The chip utilizes TSMC’s 4nm process and offers notable performance improvements over its predecessor. It includes a single large core Cortex X4 with a CPU frequency of up to 3.72GHz, five performance cores Cortex A715, two efficiency cores Cortex A515, and the Adreno 750 GPU. As a result, the Xiaomi 14 Pro boasts impressive benchmark scores.
According to Geekbench 6 testing, it achieved a single-core score of 2563 points and a multi-core score of 7256 points. This represents a 30% improvement over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and even surpasses Apple’s A16 chip, which managed to score 6275 points.
In terms of battery capacity, rumors suggest that the Xiaomi 14 Pro will feature a large 5,000mAh battery pack. The device is also expected to support 50W wireless fast charging. Notably, there are leaks suggesting the presence of two different wired fast charging options, with rates of 90W and 120W.
The device will come with upgraded camera modules, including the WLG High-Lens cameras. Additionally, at the time of launch, there will be two versions of the device: one with a flat display and another with a curved one. It is likely that these two versions will support different fast charging speeds. The Xiaomi 14 Pro is expected to launch around November 2023.
