On July 1, 2023, the local media reports indicated that a bus in western India lost control and meet with an accident due to a tire blowout.
Tragically, the collision resulted in a fire that claimed the lives of 25 individuals in the early hours of Saturday. Authorities have been working closely with the police to gather and provide information about this incident.
Sunil Kadasne, a police officer, informed the Press Trust of India news agency that at the time of the accident, approximately 33 individuals were on the bus. The incident took place around 1:30 a.m. (4:00 p.m. ET) on a highway in the Buldhana district of Maharashtra state. The remaining eight survivors were sent to a nearby hospital for medical attention, as stated by the officer.
The ill-fated private travel bus was en route to Pune city from Nagpur, both cities within the state. In response to the tragedy, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed their condolences through separate tweets, expressing their grief and sadness.
In light of this unfortunate incident, the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund will extend financial assistance of Rs 5 Lakhs to the families of each individual who lost their lives.
India faces a significant challenge with regards to road safety, as it frequently experiences fatal road accidents attributed to factors such as reckless driving, inadequate road maintenance, and aging vehicles. Police reports indicate that the annual death toll from road accidents in India exceeds 110,000 individuals.

Weather conditions are also sometimes responsible for road accidents, driving during rain becomes very dangerous as the roads are wet and becomes more slippery resulting imbalance of vehicle and cause road accident. So one should drive slowly and safely during wet weather.
