On July 1st, 2023, Motorola launched its flagship devices, Motorola Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra in the Indian market.

On July 3rd, 2023, Motorola launched its flagship devices via an event, Motorola Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra in the Indian market, stepping into the foldable/flip category and competing with Samsung and Oppo.

Moto Razr 40

The Motorola Razr 40 line-up is build on the concept of a device with two displays: one cover screen on the outside of the device and a main display inside that holds a large surface area compared to the cover.

In terms of features, the Motorola Razr 40 is packed with a 1.5-inch OLED cover screen with 1,000 nits of peak brightness. The main display stretches up to 6.9 inches and features FHD+ pOLED technology. It is a 10-bit panel that supports a 144Hz refresh rate, has a 22:9 aspect ratio, and offers 1,400 nits of peak brightness.

Also, the Motorola Razr 40 is rocking a solid 4,200mAh battery that supports 30W wired charging and 5W wireless charging.

Motorola Razr 40 operates on Android 13 and uses a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal space.

Motorola has equipped the Razr 40 with a dual camera setup i.e., a 64MP main lens and a 13MP ultrawide sensor. It also features a 32MP front camera for taking high-res selfies.

Moto Razr 40 ultra

While the other device, Motorola Razr 40 Ultra features a 3.6-inch FHD+ pOLED cover screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1,100 nits of peak brightness. The main display remains at 6.9 inches with FHD+ pOLED features. The refresh rate on the Razr 40 Ultra is increased to 165Hz, and it also offers a 22:9 aspect ratio and 1,400 nits of peak brightness.

But the Razr 40 Ultra has a reduced battery size of 3,800mAh compared to the Razr 40. The charging capacity in the Razr 40 Ultra is the same as that of the Razr 40.

Motorola Razr 40 Ultra rocks a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB internal memory, operating on Android 13.

In terms of the camera, the Razr 40 Ultra also features a dual-camera setup i.e., a 12MP main lens and a 13MP ultrawide sensor. The selfie camera is the same with a 32MP resolution.

Motorola has priced the Razr 40 at ₹59,999, while the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra will be selling at ₹89,999. Both phones will be available on Amazon.
