The conflict between Israel and Hamas has sadly escalated, with the death toll surging to 1,000, marking one of the deadliest periods of violence in the region.
According to The Wall Street Journal report, Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard officers collaborated with Hamas to plan the destructive attack as early as August.
It’s important to highlight that Hamas, a Shiite militant group, holds control in Gaza, while Hezbollah, supported by Iran, is a significant political faction in Lebanon.
As reported by The Wall Street Journal, the meeting in Beirut involved attendees from the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps), alongside four representatives from various Iranian-backed militant organizations. Mahmoud Mirdawi, a senior Hamas official, emphasized to WSJ that the group independently planned the attacks, stating, “This decision was made by Palestinians and Hamas.”
